Andy deserves all the praise he can get, and I was touched by your mention of Courtney’s challenge. The Rubik’s cube as a metaphor is very powerful and a great way for you start – something everyone knows, but something to which the answer is not a “trick” or misdirection, just knowing how. One phrase I found particularly powerful that stopped me in my tracks and had me thinking for quite some time – I couldn’t continue reading until I had pondered it further, was “the effect is the affect.” Brilliant use of language and the juxtaposition of two very misused words. I haven’t had a chance to get too far into it yet, but it looks really good so far. Most importantly I am looking forward to reading the rest. As usual, I am looking forward to the metamagical themas I am sure are contained therein.
