Having his book by the same name, Stone Frixion Fire, I also decided to order the DVD. I also have Stone Cold Magic, and Gemstones which are not only entertaining to watch, but contain a lot of great material that is both useable and astonishing. Jeff Stone is a hoot with a very creative mind. Get into the twisted mind of Jeff Stone with Stone Frixon Fire. It will literally fry your spectator's…

What a nice guy - This really comes over on the DVD. I own a magic store here in Sydney - We are having an open day in the City on the 1st Saturday in December and I will certainly feature this DVD - I love Stone Cold Magic as it really is for the lay magician - you do not have to be a card whizz to perform these little gems - The presentation is fun and very watchable.
The book really looks good. Great title, presentation and layout to start with . . . The instruction is clear and the presentational touch's you have added to the method make the effect worth doing.Randy Naviaux
793.8 is one of the freshest and most powerful books about presentation for magicians that I have read in a very long time. Your thoughts on connecting with an audience are so powerful that they literally woke me up to being a better performer. Thank you so much for this fantastic work.Richard Sanders
Jeff Stone has quietly published a series of excellent magic books that are well-worth your time and money. His latest one, 793.8, is all that again, but raised to another level. His deepest interest is to help you tap into the magic in your magic—those moments of deep, true astonishment. Between Jeff’s thoughtful essays and excellent routines, you will find yourself inspired to create more magical magic. Highly recommended.Lawrence Hass, Associate Dean of McBride’s Magic & Mystery School
[793.8] . . . is a must read for anybody who takes his magic serious, anybody who does not just want to do tricks.Chris WasshuberRead more
This is Jeff's best work yet. This ebook will make you think. Some incredible thought provoking essays, concepts and ideas. Even though there are several very good effects in this ebook, the real value for me are the essays, the questions Jeff poses and ultimately the learning you get from reading Jeff's answers and contemplation.
793.8 was the best conceptual/theoretical work on magic I read…
I'm an enormous fan of the philosophical perspectives flowing through this book [793.8], but make no mistake, these pages also document many powerful, clever, commercial magic effects. Among my favorites are 'Leaving Decks', 'Martika', and the extremely intimate 'Ode to Charlie.'Jay SankeyRead more
Jeff couldn't have written this wonderful book at a better time.
After far too many years of rabbits hopping out of hats, overly serious magicians staring 'mysteriously' at their audiences, and the pompous presentations of pointless puzzles, magic is finally changing.
Audiences and performers alike, are re-evaluating the dust-covered idea of 'The Magician,' especially in light of Google…
Jeff Stone's 793.8 asks us to discover where the magic is in our methods, effects, presentations, and in our lives.Robert E. NealeRead more
Jeff Stone's 793.8 asks us to discover where the magic is in our methods, effects, presentations, and in our lives. Perhaps we do not care or think we know, but Jeff lightly and joyfully keeps at us with his tricks and reflections until we are moved to wonder more broadly and deeply about our experience of magic. The result is a book of thoughtful entertainment and perhaps even magic itself. May…
One phrase I found particularly powerful that stopped me in my tracks and had me thinking for quite some time – I couldn’t continue reading until I had pondered it further, was “the effect is the affect.”Clay NevesRead more
Your book “793.8 - Where’s the Magic” is a Great concept and great read so far. Your cover picture does you well and seems to set a good tone for the book. Thanks for using my quote. I feel that I am an expert on ignorance and am always appreciative when I get recognized for it. I love your acknowledgments. Andy deserves all the praise he can get, and I was touched by your mention of Courtney’s…
This material [Stone Cold Magic Magazine: Year 1] was great before; it's better now. Updates, cleaned-up editing, and a more book-like layout. Dang! And I just broke my tablet's screen! This book cries out for a 10-12 inch tablet, with links and all that 21st century stuff.Grandpa ChetRead more

This [Tarot Below Zero] is a real performer's piece, a real relationship-builder between performer and audience. Ultimately a very simple TOOL with unlimited applications and you and your team have created some very strong routines with more than a few MARVELOUS convincers and details.Jay Sankey
I think even experienced readers, (I know a few who read ONLY for entertainment at parties) would be willing to pay hundreds of dollars for this [Tarot Below Zero] e-book. This is the PERFECT thing to use for an impromptu reading at a party with a borrowed deck, or with a tarot deck at a gig. Plus, it provides a truly eerie ending that will leave the most hardened skeptic slack jawed.Joe Diamond
This [Tarot Below Zero] is absolutely the best written manuscript I have ever read about a magic principle and it's optional endings. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a strong effect using a simple to learn procedure.Dave "Magic" Johnson
You've opened the door to a world of presentations that are precisely the type of ego massage audiences, particularly female spectators, eat up. It is perfect for the type of party atmosphere generally worked by tarot readers, face painters, balloon modelers and magicians. Properly marketed, a clever magician could use the material in Spectral Chill - Tarot Below Zero to double his/her value to a party planner and therefore his/her price.Wesley James
I read "Frixion" in one sitting and am re-reading it. I immediately went out and bought 3 of these pens.I have already worked out several uses for it including card-reveals. I forced a 7 of diamonds on a friend and showed the reveal to be an Ace of hearts (flat top A). Then did the change from the Ace to the seven and it was better than reactions seen on TV magic. This is an amazing book. Without this book in one's arsenal, one isn't fully equipped as a magician.David Smock
If -as the saying goes- 'God is in the details' then Jeff's e-book, Stone Frixion Fire, is one of the more divine little manuscripts I've read in a long time. He breaks down everything from presentations to crediting with the fervor of an obsessive 16th-century monk. Best of all, he also shares some extremely MAGICAL effects!Jay Sankey
Jeff Stone’s Stone Frixion Fire is currently the definitive source for learning how to create magic with the new Frixion pen. It offers a careful analysis of previous tricks with the pen, essential tips for using it deceptively, and over twelve magic effects to perform with it. One of Jeff’s tricks immediately went into my professional repertoire.Lawrence Hass, Associate Dean of McBride’s Magic & Mystery School
[Gemstones]. Jeff has created and demonstrated some ridiculously simple and easy manifestations of impossibility. Yes, I said "simple and easy" because they are, when it comes to the mechanics -- but, oh how you'll WANT to put in the rehearsal time to make these become YOURS. He's so creative and . . . finds the shortest distance between point A and point B. "Miser's Nightmare" (and its attendant sleight) is better every time I see it, and I can stare right at it, know exactly what he's doing, and it still looks miraculous . . . You'll believe that a dime can vanish and reappear inside a card -- INSIDE a card -- which the volunteer had examined. You'll believe that a card can burst into four pieces instantly. You'll believe that Jeff Stone is one of the creative geniuses of our time, and all-around good guy.Grandpa Chet
Stone Cold Magic Magazine is Stone Cold GOLD! I've learned so much from this magazine, and I'm excited to have it all on my bookshelf!Joe Diamond
Jeff Stone is always creating and sharing his creative and original ideas that make us think out our magic in new ways. Particularly powerful are his effects with natural objects in close up situations.Paul Draper
